YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT WORKER - JOB DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION FORM

Youth & Young Adult Worker

We are seeking a team player with leadership skills, spiritual maturity and a burning passion to see the youth, students and young adults of Virginia Water brought into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to nurture and prepare them for adulthood, as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Salary: £18,000 to £24,000 depending on experience
Expenses paid

Christ Church Virginia Water is Church of England Parish with a congregation made up of international family drawn from over 25 different countries, many Christians of other denominations and mainly living within a 20-mile radius of Virginia Water

INTERN ROLE - JOB DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION FORM

We are seeking applications for the role of Intern at Christ Church, Virginia Water, Surrey for individuals considering future full-time Christian Ministry

The role is a fixed term one-year commitment starting Autumn 2019 and comprises three main elements:

1. Biblical and theological training relevant to an area of ministry involvement e.g. Children and Families; Youth & Young Adult; Adults (including Seniors); Music
2. Ministry training and experience developed over the year as you seek to discern together God’s calling for you
3. Practical service undertaking activities and tasks that assist in the day to day running of the Church including church set-ups and reception duties

The successful candidate will have:
  • A personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Eagerness to learn and develop, to be reflective and self-critical
  • Willingness to work within a team
  • A demonstrable love for others evidenced by an enthusiasm for all areas of service
  • Flexibility and a sense of humour

IT SUPPORT NEEDED

Calling any enthusiastic IT People!  We have a short term volunteer opening for someone to assist the staff team on an ad hoc basis with desktop and laptop technology support.

Could you spare some time to help us with basic IT support, such as installing pre-approved software; running diagnostics to improve performance and possibly building new PCs with our standard configuration.This is likely to be a short term stop gap to take us to the end of the year.
